Mission
The
REALTORS® Commercial Alliance of Massachusetts (RCAMA) is dedicated to uniting real estate professionals throughout the Commonwealth and fostering a collaborative and ethical professional community. Through adherence to the NAR Code of Ethics, the Board promotes the highest standards of integrity, professionalism, and accountability within the real estate industry. The Board further seeks to safeguard and advance the interests of real estate professionals while supporting the responsible ownership, development, and stewardship of commercial property across Massachusetts.
History
Formerly, the RCA-MA was known as the Northern Massachusetts Commercial-Investment Board of REALTORS®, Inc. (NM-CIBOR) — chartered by the National Association of REALTORS® in 2001 as the only commercial overlay Board in Massachusetts. Commercial overlay boards were first allowed by the National Association of REALTORS® in 1993, and this type of Board serves commercial real estate professionals and overlays the jurisdiction of residential boards of Realtors.
Formation of RCA-MA means that commercial real estate professionals in Massachusetts have a “home“ in the REALTOR® organization, and residential REALTORS® are welcome to join as members to obtain information on commercial and investment property.
